Let’s imagine you were developing a highly anticipated horror game set amongst the halls of a creepy mental institute. Then let’s imagine you’d never heard of Asylum Jam and continued developing your game for years… and years… and years. Other than releasing the odd tech demo and new screenshots, how would you keep the impatient gamers interested as the development cycle approached five years? Simple, you’d release a making of video that not only highlighted early game design and behind the scenes shenanigans but took the viewer inside an actual “eerie” mental institute. You know, purely for research. Watch below and allow yourself a sly smile as the release date eludes us once more.

"A Tour of Hanwell" will document the extensive five years of development and immense effort behind the Asylum horror adventure game. Including early artwork, our approach to design, behind the scenes footage, an eerie visit to an actual mental institute, and more, it will be a fascinating look into the production of this ambitious independent work.”

“Decay surrounds you, dread around every corner. You feel imprisoned while traversing the endless corridors… Asylum is a chilling journey through the intricate floors of the Hanwell Mental Institute, in which unimaginable atrocities have occurred in the past. Over four years in production, this horror adventure aims to marry cutting edge visuals with thrilling storytelling to give you the ultimate experience in fear. From the designer of the award-winning and cult sleeper hit Scratches.”
